The 2019 Las Vegas Pickleball Open had plenty of curve balls it threw its competitors. This year the extreme winds on top of the Plaza Hotel & Casino, which is the usual home to the tournament, caused the mixed doubles matches to be played indoors at the Jam On It sports complex in Henderson Nevada. Interestingly, many of the top players did not feel comfortable playing indoors and opted out. This left an opening for other players, whom we might not normally see in a medal match, to step up and show us what they’ve got.
In this Pro Mixed Bronze Medal Match from the 2019 Las Vegas Pickleball Open we get to watch the team of Jeff Warnick and Jessie Irvine battle with the superstar team of Ben Johns and Catherine Parenteau. The winner moves on to take a shot at the gold.
