Great match. Wanted to ask for a while…what’s with the capri pants under the shorts?? I’ve seen Yates wear them a few times, and now Weinbach.
Hi Linda, These are most likely compression tights. Athletes wear them to help with blood flow and keep legs warm during strenuous exercise. Thanks for watching!
Hi, great coverage, thank you.
Need clarification please – I’ve heard you can be in the kitchen anytime but of course can’t hit the ball until it bounces, commentators for this event are saying you can’t go into the kitchen until it bounces – which is it please
Thank you
Keep up the great work
Wendy
Hi Wendy! The commentators got this one wrong…or they just weren’t clear enough. You can be in the kitchen as long as you want as long if you hit the ball only after it bounces. And it doesn’t matter when you step in…you can be there already; you can play the entire match in the kitchen (although it would be hard to win). So what you have heard before is correct – you can be there any time you want. Just hit the ball after it bounces. Thanks for watching!
Watching the Pro matches, the net looks straight across. is the center 34″ and the side line 36″ even though it looks straight across.
thanks. Kevin
Although it was last year, Im still seeking an answer to Wendy’s question. I believe you can be in the kitchen, although certainly not advisable, as long as you don’t hit the ball in the air. Is this correct? Thanks!
You are correct! You can be in the kitchen as much as you want as long as you only hit it after it bounces. Thanks for watching!
